I was a MAID today

First working experience in glasgow, i would say it was great!! It's the very first pounds i earned since i came to UK and i'm very proud of myself!lol...except that i really did feel like a maid, serving people, doing the heavy cutleries and plate liftings and all.

It was a christmas party (a company's i assume), and everyone was dressed up so nicely!

The upsides were that i worked with a really good waitress which did most of the heavy lifting..=P And that the table i served had some very nice people who volunteered to pass the soups and so i didn't have to walk as much. Cuz the grand ballroom i worked in consists of rectangle instead of the standard round table. Each table had 40 seatings.

The downside was that there were some weird people who kept asking for food although they've already been served, many rather 'BIG' people who impeded my walking, and the fact that they really waste food. The main dish was turkey, and some of the people just chewed a bit and stopped eating. While for the dessert, a lot just ate less than 5% and left it there. I threw away soooooooo much of food, so much so that i feel so bad!!

Anyway i secretly took some photos of the ballroom..hehe..so here they are..=)

These are mint choc i 'took'. It was part of the dessert and many people didn't take them. We took it back into the kitchen and was told to throw them all away!! HEY it's such a SIN to throw food away! And these are wrapped in foil plus they're CHOCOLATES!! So i mati-mati also took them although i didn't have pocket. (I hid them all underneath my shirt cuz i tucked my shirt in)

And on our way back via train, we saw this on the seats..hehe so i decided to take a photo of it. Mind you, it's USED!lol

Kaai yirng's one??=P She seems happy!!@.@

Looking at Breasts is Healthy

This is too funny not to share..=P

10 Minutes Of Staring at Breasts Daily Prolongs Man's Life by 5 Years

According to German research published in New England Journal of Medicine, men staring at women's breasts in fact prolong their lives with years.

Just 10 minutes of looking at the charms of a well-endowed females is equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out," said author Dr. Karen Weatherby, a gerontologist.

The team led by Weatherby was made up of researchers at three hospitals in Frankfurt, Germany, and found this results after monitoring for 5 years the health of 200 male subjects, half of whom were asked to look at busty females daily, while the other half had to abstain from doing so.

For five years, the breasts oglers presented a lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates and decreased risk of coronary artery disease.

"Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. There's no question: Gazing at large breasts makes men healthier. Our study indicates that engaging in this activity a few minutes daily cuts the risk of stroke and heart attack in half." said Weatherby, who even recommends that men aged over 40 should spend at least 10 minutes daily admiring breasts sized "D-cup" or larger.

Well, men, look at breasts, then:

Looking at breasts is as healthy as going to the gym for 30 minutes daily and prolonged a man's life by five years.

I'm back!

I've abandoned you for such a long long time. Sorry blog! Anyway the thing is, i've been so lazy to type. Watching dramas, doing surveys online and finding out the cheapest route + most convenient route from glasgow to stuttgart feels more fun. Basically clicking the mouse is easier than typing. Which was why i've been procrastinating!

I haven't blogged bout my trip, and if i'm going to continue being lazy, soon it will be the time for my next trip already!=P
Bout that, can anyone tell me what is the cheapest way to go from glasgow to stuttgart?? Please.....

Crap, i'm lazy to type again. This entry is just so crappy =.=

IT IS OFFICIAL!!

My holiday has OFFICIALLY started!!! And i'm really thankful for it!! This month has been really taxing and i NEVER had the chance to have my 10-hour-sleep. Anyway, really glad that torturous FMT 1 and FMT 2 is over.

And that....I PASSED my Pharmacy Practice III EXEMPTION EXAM!!

I'm still in a state of

considering i got TWO big fat ZERO in the two previous class tests. NEGATIVE to be exact.

To elaborate how scary this is, it works this way. Everyone starts with 100% and then the marks start deducting. To pass the Exemption Exam we are supposed to get 70% and above.

Everyone is given a set of five prescriptions ranging from doctors and dentists to nurses and vet. There's also those emergency supply from patient or doctor and prescriptions with drug interactions. A lot more types but these are just few of them.

We're suppposed to act like real pharmacists and check if the prescriptions are legal and safe to dispense. For every mistake we get marks deducted.

Overdose -60
Wrong label -60
Failure to dispense -60
Wrong/incomplete dose check -30

and a WHOLE LOT MORE mistakes that gets our marks deducted. The first class test i think i got -20 if i'm not mistaken. And out of 116 of us, less than a quarter got positive for the first class test. And the record so far in my batch was -400!!

So i'm really really shocked when my name was called during the exemption exam feedback. Twenty of us passed, and so we don't have to take the final degree exam paper next monday.=P Congrats to us all.=)

Anyway, this was a long time ago already but just wana post a pic of it. We bought 6 perfumes in London for 30 pounds!hehehe.. Below are just 4 of them. And mine is the 'Devil Wears Perfume'

As a kick start to my holidays, here's a photo of a happy apple..lol... I 'cratfted' it while i was too bored studying.

I've been neglecting my blog recently. All thanks to my hectic 9-5pm classes everyday.*sobs*

Today dictates my one month in glasgow. Time flies!! Come on baby, fly faster...fly fly fly to september!

Anyway, I will try to update more. Mayb next week after my class test. But oh well, i might just decide to sleep instead..=P

Latest update of me will be that next monday i will have a PP3 (pharmacy practice) class test that is very darn scary because of its negative marking. I heard of many seniors who get like -200 or -300.*cold sweat*
Pray hard i don't get anything negative! I want positive!!

And after the class test, i shall watch Harry Potter on wednesday and then me going LONDON!! Will upload tonnes of pics then.=)

First post in Glasgow=.=

I'm slow.
I'm really slow.
I'm probably the last person who's blogging about scotland for the first time.
I'm sorry.
I'm lazy.
I'm lazy now too.
I'm just gonna let pictures do the work.
I'm actually going to post links to my photos in facebook.
I'm smart.

Life in Scotland
Edinburgh Part 1
Edinburgh Part 2

I did this in Scotland so far.

I kissed a girl, and i didn't like it.=P

I fell in love with a manequin in kilt.

I was at the place where J.K. Rowling found her inspirations to write Harry Potter.

I finally saw Greyfriars Bobby, the dog who accompanied his master who passed away, lying beside his grave for fourteen years till he died.

I watched the ancient Mickey.

I found a two door Swift.

I stole something from University of Glasgow.

I found something seriously fishy.

And I proved to everyone that i have the smallest mouth.

Good night everyone..*yawns*

Bye Bye Proton Saga

My dad met an accident few days ago, but thankfully, he's NOT HURT in any way. But the car door is pretty badly hit and to fix it, it will cost more than 1k. So my dad decided to sell it off and get the rm5k voucher instead since we seldom use this car anymore, anyway.

So new car on the way.=) The downside of it is that the new car has to be a local car in order to get the voucher.*sighs* And who's gonna use this car huh? My sis probably...since she's FINALLY coming back to malaysia in about another three months time..*whee*

Anyway, some pics of the car.

Back door definitely have to change edi. Front door still can fix.

Look at the hole. I wonder what inflicted that damage.

The top view of the car. Door cannot close already.

This car has been with us for TWENTY-TWO years. I will miss it.=( I still remember the times we went to the beach so often in it. Oh, it's been so long.=)

And it's one tough car. The Proton Wira who hit it is in pretty bad shape.=P

Once upon a time...

I was packing and came across my photo album. And i recalled sth. Since i was 13 years old, ppl started telling me that i look old. 13 years old aka i reached my *ehem* puberty. I know many of my coursemates and friends might not believe me cuz according to them, i look young.
So here's some pics of me, from the age of a few months till recent. Trust me, i may look young before 12, but i do look old after that.

To start off, me being a baby!

I love this pic of me..feels like i was going to cry..lol

This was when i was..5? Cant rmbr. I think it was my birthday.XD

When i was 9, with my cousin's taiwanese wife. Seriously, she looks a lot better without make up. The heavy make up just ruins the natural beauty she has.=.=

When i was 11, at genting. I still looked young then, right?

Few yrs later..

I looked like this...

How old do u think i was then? I look old don't i? I was 14..FOURTEEN!! And i already look like this..-_-"

This was me last year.

And me last month.

Just compare this two to when i was 14. Seriously. Wen yi, TRUST ME when i say i understand how u feel when ppl say u look old...errr..i mean matured!

Memoirs of IMH (Institute of Mental Health)

RECORD I

Patient A: "So how... this book not bad yah?"

Patient B: "Yah agree, excellent! Astounding work. No nonsense, sharp and concise to the point. But there's a major flaw in this piece of art – too many character names to remember!!!"

Nurse: "Hey! Can the two of you put the telephone book back to the original place?"

RECORD II

A doctor asked a patient: "If I were to cut one of your ears off, what will happen to you?"

Patient: "Then I will not be able to hear..."

Doctor: "Hmm…that's normal...so if I were to cut your other ear off, what will happen then?"

Patient: "I will not be able to see..."

The doctor became nervous and asked: "Why would you not see then???"

Patient: "Because my spectacles will fall off..."

RECORD III

IMH has an old lady who wears black, carries a black umbrella and squats at the entrance to the IMH everyday without fail, rain or shine.

The doctor wanted to administer treatment for her but decided to understand her behavior first.

So, the doctor also wears black and carries a black umbrella; squatted besides her everyday. The days go by...the two of them squatted side-by-side w/o a single exchange of word. After one solid month, the old lady finally broke the silence and asked the doctor: "Err...Excuse me! Are you also a mushroom?"

RECORD IV

A nurse saw a patient writing a letter. She got curious and went to take a peek. But the patient didn't wanna let her see.

Nurse (unable to contain her curiosity): "Who are you writing to?"

Patient: "I'm writing a letter to myself..."

Her curiosity grew and she thought to herself (Why would someone write a letter to himself?)

So she asked again: "So....what's written inside?"

Patient (got impatient): "You crazy ah? I haven't received the letter, how would I know??"

RECORD V

Two patients escape from the IMH. They climbed up a tree and one of them fell from the tree and started rolling on the ground.

After a while, the patient below shouted to the one on top: "Hey! How come you are not coming down yet?"

The patient on top replied: "No. no...I can't...I'm not ripe yet"

RECORD VI

One patient visited the doctor: "Doc...How? I think I'm a chicken since the day I was born..."

Doctor: "Wah! That’s very serious...Why do you only come and seek treatment now?"

Patient: "Because my family needs me to hatch the eggs..."

RECORD VII

One truck driver was doing his usual delivery to IMH.

He discovered a flat tyre when he was about to go home. He jacked up the truck and took the flat tyre down. When he was about to fix the spare tyre, he accidentally dropped all the bolts into the drain. As he can't fish the bolts out, he started to panic.

One patient happened to walk past and asked the driver what happened.

The driver thought to himself, since there's nothing much he can do; he told the patient the whole incident.

The patient laughed at him & said "can't even fix such a simple problem...no wonder you are destined to be a truck driver..."

Here’s what you can do, take one bolt each from the other 3 tyres and fix it onto this tyre. Then drive to the nearest workshop and replace the missing ones, easy as that"

The driver was very impressed and asked "You're so smart but why are you here at the IMH?"

Patient replied: "Hello, I stay here because I'm crazy not STUPID!"

Ethan Bortnick

I finally have the time to check all my forwarded emails! Some i've seen and read before, some worthy of note, and ONE particularly appealing!

Ethan Bortnick, a child prodigy pianist, age 6 when he first appeared in tv on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' in 2007, i.e. the video posted here.=)

It's absolutely entralling, he even composes his own songs! And trust me, it's no mere 'London bridge is falling down' or 'Mary had a little lamb'.

The Star, Friday 22 May 2009

Hmmm, we just went to BTN camp last week and this week there's an article (BTN course teaches disunity) sent in to The Star by 'Disappointed', from BUKIT JALIL. A coincidence perhaps.=P

If you're interested, read it here.=)

Some pics from BTN camp

Wen yi has FINALLY updated her blog on BTN camp. Which can only mean one thing. I'm gonna link to her blog for those who want to see pics and details on the things we did at the camp. How kind of me.*ngiek ngiek ngiek*

Here u go.

BTN camp=D

I'm back from 5 days of BTN camp and IT WAS SO FUN!!haha..weird? Well, that's because the supposed brain-washing camp turned out to be not brain-washing at all! Thanks to the beloved facilitator i got for my group. I was in Group 6.^^ And Group 6 rocks!!XD

Well, since anyone can read my blog, i shall not mention much about things my faci did; both in life, and with us. Don't want to get anyone into trouble.=P But basically, i was really shocked at the fact that:

1) He is really really nice and patient.(One guy in my group day-dream most of the times, and he's very ok even when we don't respond to him)
2) He did many 'not so legal things' when he was younger.
3) He has very 'interesting' ideas when it comes to crime and politics.(cunning in a way..=P)
4) He respects whichever language we prefer to speak in. Be it English or Bahasa Malaysia. Which i doubt any other faci would allow. He can speak some Hokkien by the way.
5) He is very open when it comes to talking about politics, current and sensitive issues.
6) He rears dogs, since he was a kid. And u know how Malays don't want to get near dogs.
7) He's very acceptive of other religions. I can definitely see it from the stories he told us bout his Chinese and Indian friends.
8) The list will go indefinite if i continue...so i shall stop.=P

Well, of course, besides our preeminent facilitator, the physical activies were great too! Jungle trekking, abseiling from a height of 28m (if im not mistaken), running for 2km, etc were indeed fun. And abseiling was a lot easier than i thought!=D

And finally, my lovely groupmates. Some were more proactive, while some were rather quiet. But all very co-operative, ideas flooding in when it comes to our persembahan of the song 'Malaysiaku Gemilang'

We made a bond, and i'm truly glad to have met them.=) I even bumped into one of them in sunway pyramd ystd. Sungguh ada jodoh.XD

My Friendster account is highjacked-_-"

Who still logs in to their friendster account nowadays? The last time i logged in was i think 2 months ago, mayb 3. And the last last time i logged in was probably half a year ago.
Anyway, yesterday i suddenly thought of my friendster account so decided to log in.

My usual e-mail and password.

Was shocked to see this. The email address u entered is not a valid login???

So i re-typed my email and password. But the same thing appeared. Although i was confident that was the correct email i used, i tried with other emails that i have, and with all the possible passwords. Attempts in vain.=(

At first i thought my account has been deleted cuz i didn't log in for too long a time. Anyhow i decided to google myself.

And look! There am i!

Clicked on it and this girl appeared.

I ignored it cuz obviously that account doesn't belong to me..duh...*oblivious that it was actually mine*

So i logged in Kenneth's account to find myself. And was shocked to see that 'BUNGA' girl was his featured friend. In place of me!

Clicked on her. And realised ALL THE INFO of 'her' is exactly the same as mine. Well, of course, except my name, photo, and location!! And some additional irritating guys' testimonials. All my albums are still there, except that the photos in them have been deleted.

How could this have happened!!! I didn't log in in any other computer except my own! Anyway, i've deleted her from Kenneth's friendster. And so to you guys who still have 'me' as your friend, please delete it as well! Thank you=)

Elise, Janice, Naomi?

My sis is still thinking of an English name for her baby. Any suggestions? Elise, Janice and Naomi are in her top list right now.=) Anyway i thought Hayley was nice. But my sis said my house so many 'ly' already. Renly. Einly. Tzely. But Hayley not nice meh?=(

My parents went to visit her last month. I couldn't cuz i was in the midst of my study break!*big sigh* Anyway, just some photos.=)

And when she was one month's old, she kena shave botak.=P

And wore this cute hat to cover..

This is the latest pic i have of her, which is almost a month edi.

Anyway, i was looking through her photos and i found a series of photos that i thought was really funny and cute.

So adorable right?XD

No wonder they are so fat!

Double-clicked mozilla firefox. Her mainpage was yahoo.com. Was captured by the title 'Cheapest Fast Food Eats' and the statement 'The least expensive menu items at your favorite chains tend to be the worst ones for you.'
Out of curiousity, decided to have a look. One link led to another.

The links were very interesting, but i would say they're more applicable to those in America. Cuz most of them aren't available in Malaysia anyway.

BUT.....
one drink left me completely in awe.

Baskin-Robbins Large Heath Bar Shake

Wana have a go on how much calorie this one drink has?
Just a hint, it's MORE THAN my DAILY calorie need.

2310 calories. Yeap, it's so bad, it's named THE WORST DRINK IN AMERICA.

Some facts i found interesting. More info available here.
66: The number of teaspoons of sugar this drink contains.
240: The number of minutes you'd need to spend on a treadmill, running at a moderate pace, to burn it off.

The drink was introduced in 2008, and Baskin Robbin's does seem to be utterly pleased with their 'achievement'. So much so that they came up with another drink which won them the award:

'THE WORST FOOD IN AMERICA IN 2009'
for this: Baskin Robbins Large Chocolate Oreo Shake

A whooping 2600 calories. I think out of the 114 people in my class, only Choon Hau and Sofia can have this drink.=P

And I just recalled Kenneth telling me his uni cafe in Michigan serves buffet for 5USD per person. If u have a card (i don't know what card), whenever u buy one large pizza, free one large pizza. Milk and drinks are sold in gallons, not litres. The Chicken Katsu he had in a Japanese restaurant ystd had bout 30-40 strips! (The one i had ystd in Pyramid only had 5-6 strips!)

No wonder ppl in America are so fat!

I wanna go home=(

I've been in KL for two weeks now, which i was supposed to be here for only a little more than a week. University of Strathclyde is holding us all back by not providing us our offer letter to apply for the UK Visa. It's been postponed again and again, and im stucked here waiting TILL FURTHER NOTICE.

Anyway, i went for hospital attachment last week, but i feel lazy to type out the endless and some heart-breaking stories that happened throughout the week. Anyhow, the most bizarre would probably be me and my partner + A DEAD BODY + a few guys in the same lift.
One thing's for sure. Whole day walking and clerking patients from ward to ward was tiring. I'm not sure if i can stand working in the hospital next time.=(

Mooooving on, i went to IMU Ball last sunday @ Marriot. The food s***s except for the appetizer and the dessert which were all right. I only had bout one third of the soup. Anyway, great job to the IMU committee!! It was a great ball despite the food.=) And great job to the three receptionists too!!*Ehem* Im one of the them. *coughs* I've posted the photos on Facebook.=)

IMU Ball Part 1
IMU Ball Part 2

So now, i'm back in Putra Heights for the weekend. Going with bro dan kawan-kawan sekalian (his gf and her sis) to find my sis and bro-in-law in Klang tomoro and then head to Kuala Selangor for seafood. Well, at least the tentative plan is to do so.=)

Me sleepy. Signing off. Adios.

Of being organic

Today i accompanied my mum to her fren's house cuz she was going to teach a couple of ladies (aunties) how to cook THE ORGANIC WAY.

Being a bit curious, i tagged along=) When i reached her house, i was amazed by how 'organic' the place was. There were sooo many organic things e.g. organic soya sauce, sugar, dark soy sauce, olive oil, oat, seasonings etc etc etc..

Anyway, she cooked many dishes for us, but i only took one photo of the food..hehe..not good la right ppl cooking i keep taking photo..

It may look like an ordinary mee..BUT, the mee is actually made of organic red rice flour, the sauce that made the dish darker is organice molasses (sth like dark sweet sauce), organic seasonings for taste. Some vege were planted while for other dishes the ingredients were all 'disinfected' using ozonizer.

Very few of the MANY organic stuffs.=) Some i didn't even know existed!!

The aunty also made us a drink, made of 'mu4 cao3' (mandarin) and green apple. It tastes only green apple but apparently this 'mu cao' has myriad benefits. The aunty even showed us a video on the goodness of mu cao, produced by Taiwan Adventist Hospital.(if im not mistaken)

A photo of 'mu cao'.

In the video, a guy with initial BP 220 started taking mu cao continuously for 6 months. His BP is now controlled at 140/95. Another lady who had cancer (I don't know which type) didn't undergo surgery but took this mu cao. The cancer was miraculously cured. Many people have benefited from this plant. Apparently it is good for detox as well, as is widely available and very easy to grow! My mum already took back satu batang to plant.=P

Just a side note (reaaaaally side), Whisper Ultra night twin pack is selling for rm19.50 in Guardian and rm19.60 in Giant. It's really cheap!!=)
