It's been two weeks...

Im finally able to adapt to life without being able to see kenneth every single day. This week felt like it passed super fast!

Anyway, after coming back from germany, there have been a few things th
at i needed to adapt to. The first would b the size of my laptop.

The day i came back from germany n switched on my laptop, i realised the words were exceptionally small. For a while i thought that my eye power has increased. It was way later that day that i realised it was because i have been using kenneth's 22 inch plasma screen to go online for the past one month. N i thought i was going blind.-_-"

Secondly, i have been an environmentalist
in germany. I placed plastics, aluminium, papers, degradable stuffs, glass n the rest accordingly. I used to think it was difficult. But it turned out very simple essentially. Coming back to m'sia, all i can do is chuck everything in one plastic bag n throw it. Cuz even if i separate it, the rubbish bin outside comprises only one bin. One bin for all. Woohoo? Don't think so.

Thirdly, i had a baby pillow to sleep on when i was there. It's super comfy and it fits the shape of my head. Ken gave it to me cuz it was too small for him. I would have brought it back if my bag had the space! Takde baby pillow-->insomnia.*sobs*

N an important one. Escalators in germany work the other way round. Right to go up n left coming down. I got so used to it that when i first came back, i wanted to go up using the right one, n jerked. Luckily i didn't fall, n there wasn't anyone at the low edge. Otherwise i would have knocked someone.

Well, i didn't do the same mistake when i first reached germany. Cuz kenneth was around so i just stick to him wherever he goes without needing my brain..=P

Movies that are good, n erm..incomprehensible

I've watched a couple of movies these two weeks. Six to be exact. Out of which i truly enjoyed only three, i.e. Get Smart, 21 and Made of Honor. Get Smart is a very lame yet super funny movie. I mean considering the lead is Steve Carell, how can it be not funny??!!

The next one that i really liked was 21. The lead actress is super hot! I feel she has some resemblance to Jennifer Garner. N she dresses up differently in every casino scene. Feels like Alias eh? The lead actor on the other hand...hmmm....sometimes he looks cute, sometimes he doesn't.*sigh* Anyway this movie will be out in malaysia soon.=)

And finally, Made of Honor! A part of the movie was shot in Scotland! My housemates, n obviously me, got all excited when we saw how beautiful Scotland is. And the main guy, patrick dempsey, wore a mini kilt in the movie. Oooo...sexy legs...=D So, here's hoping that i will not fail my exam and will make it to scotland in another..ELEVEN MONTHS!!

This post is rather plain without pictures. So i went searching for the posters..=P

The following three movies. I was more of erm..confounded by what they are trying to convey. Paris Je T'aime was still all right. In fact, i kinda like it. N love some of it.

In case u're wondering, i said i love some of it cuz this movie consists of 18 short films. Thanks to li who explained what was happening as the movie progressed. Im downright sure that I won't understand a whole lot of it if she wasn't around. By the way, source of this movie: liyana.

The Happening, which is also the first movie i watched after coming back to m'sia, seem to hold very deeeeep meaning. I understand it as the world is sick, we have to do our part to save it. Am i right? Anyway i don't think there's a right or wrong for what i understand from the movie. After all, a movie from M. Night Shymalan always embraces multifaceted complex meaning.

N finally, the movie i watched today. In Bruges starring Colin Farrell. It's a 2008 movie which i don't think is shown in malaysia. I was initially attracted by its high rating in imdb. And hence asked ken to download it for me. Watched it, and pondered for many many seconds why it has such high ratings. Well, perhaps i didn't like it cuz i couldn't catch some of their conversation due to the strong accent.

Anyway sth 'interesting' in the movie. A prostitute from Amsterdam went to Bruges and had *** with a midget. Apparently she can get higher price for her p**** in Bruges compared to in Amsterdam. LOL.

P/s: Bruges is a place in Belgium.

Food I cooked in Germany

Im back in m'sia for almost a week now. N just realised i forgot to post the most important post of all! How can i forget to acknowledge my hard work!hehe..

Well, western food isn't exactly my kind. Not that i don't like it. In fact, i love it! But not everyday though. Tak boleh tahan.

So...
I cooked most of the days, unless we go out, or im lazy..hehe..
Below are a series of my breakfast 'masterpieces'...=)

The mayo was put by me. In case u think there's nothing wrong with it. I've also attached another photo below where kenneth put the mayo. Just for comparison, for obvious reasons.-_-"

Next! The lunches n dinners that i cooked. Just a note, due to the lack of vege in germany. My options were narrowed to brocolli, 'bo lei sang choi' n carrots. There are oso some others like capsicum, asparagus etc which i don't know how to cook..*acting innocent*

Hehe, this is one example when i'm lazy to cook.^^
Well, notice the hand there. It's cuz ken cooked the fried rice. N he's very proud of it. That was the only time he cooked when i was there.=P

There goes. I feel very proud of myself!! I think those were my sole most cooked meals within a month. N if u noticed, almost all the meals have this either mushroom potato or mushroom carrot.

The reason behind was cuz after the first time i cooked it, kenneth got so addicted to it n asked me to cook everyday. Even i muak of cooking it d oso he stil wasn't. So it wasn't that i didn't have other things to cook k!

P/s: I didn't take photos of all the food i cooked. Probably missed out 2 or 3. But the above are pretty much all of it.*winks*

Inflation in Malaysia

I haven't been doing grocery shopping in M'sia for bout two months plus now, since my study break. And i had one with my housemates in Carrefour today.

For all i could remember, rice was priced at rm30sth. At least the one i bought was that price. N now it has shot up to rm49.90! When wen yi showed me the price of rice,
I can only say that my expression when i saw the price of rice was-->stunned + mouth open humongously.

That was a major shock i got. I also noticed price hike in some other things. Maybe the prise has risen steadily since a long time ago but i didn't realise. I dunno.

I remember canned sardin being priced at around rm3sth. Now it is rm5.50.

A tray of eggs size A used to be rm7sth. Now eggs type D (much smaller) is rm8.10.

I know the price of Peel Fresh has always been increasing. It used to be rm3.19, then 3.49, and i stopped buying when it got to rm3.89. Now, it is rm4.99.

N with the petrol price of rm2.70 per litre, how to survive in malaysia!!

Back in malaysia

Im back in m'sia. Been unpacking, that is, no time to cry. Anyway i really think i feel better now. The past 24 hours or so was simply disastrous. Especially when leaving his room in the morning n at the airport. I admit i cried a lot. N i know i gave him a really hard time when i didn't want to leave.

I shall not elaborate on the moment i burst into tears once i saw the boarding gate. Nor will i detail out the hours of me crying in the plane or before i sleep after i reached putra heights.

Initially i thought i would be doing so. But after some time, the deeply emotional me has progressively subsided. N the more rational me has appeared! So this post will not be a miserable, gloomy, despondent one.*thankful look*

On the way back to vista, climbing the stairs to reach B1-B2-2, i had mixed feelings. I tried to sort it out. N if i need to put it into words, it would b a feeling of 'going back to reality.'

Having stayed in germany for one month felt like a dream. A wonderful dream. I loved every moment i spent there. I really love that place. Why exactly?

1) The air is so fresh. Makes me wana go for a walk at the park nearby.

2) People there are generally friendly, n honest.
3) Cars there r cheap. So, nice cars kiri kanan depan belakang.
4) Safety. At least much safer than in malaysia.
5) More of a countryside. Breathtaking scenery, very peaceful.-->ease at heart
6) Strong currency. Everything is cheap without converting.
7) No stray dogs. All are healthy n cute!ehe..

The list will go on and on if i do not stop. But that doesn't mean i don't love malaysia.=) Especially my family, frens and the food here.=)

Shopping @ stuttgart

It was a sunny day, which all germans would love going out. N having stayed here for a month, i love it when it is sunny too! It makes me feel energetic and full of life! We went there around noon, as ken said there wasn't much to shop there, one two hours can 'gao tim' already. But guess what we shopped there till 7pm.*salute*

And as usual, it was a very tough day when it comes to shopping for souvenirs. I only managed to get two presents..sigh.. A shirt which is for my dad, n a cap..not sure who to give yet..hehe..

We did not take many photos as:
Point 1-He was obviously sick of all the churches, ancient buildings, parliaments etc etc.
Point 2-I was getting sick of them already too..hahaha..

Anyway, here's one that i wanted to take cuz i love the park. Everyone can just lie there n have picnic. Well, there's one such lovely park in esslingen as well, with swans as a plus point.=)

This, according to kenneth, is a castle. But he wasn't sure either. Random guess.

This one is for my beloved daddy devi!haha.. Devi don't get me wrong. It was kenneth who asked me to pose there, to show to u..*he's happy that u geram with our Paris LV photo*

N finally, our grande item of the day. Creative 5.1 speakers. Well, obviously it's not mine. Kenneth didn't like his current speakers (so do i), so we got a new one.

P/s: the speakers were tested and proven (by me) to be a high-performance speakers at an affordable price!haha.. I got terrified when i heard the lion roar at the beginning of the movie we watched.

Rocky 1 to 6

I realised i haven been blogging much recently, and some people even asked me about it. Thanks for the concern!
Well, previously i usually blog when i was free. These few days, the free time has been used to watch these...

Yup, that's right. I have become an avid fan of sylvester stallone and have been watching rocky 1 to 5 for the past few days. Thanks to kenneth's internet speed here, it only takes 10-15 minutes to download a movie.
Apparently, foo yee's room connection is even faster. Download speed of around 1500kbps.*faint*

Anyway, i have yet to watch rocky balboa, the latest rocky, which i have already downloaded. Here, at the age of 60, he comes out from retirement and fights a 20sth heavyweight champion. This movie also stars
Milo Anthony Ventimiglia. Familiar? How bout Peter Petrelli?hehe..

Great day shopping @ Metzingen!

I went to Metzingen on sunday, famous for it's factory outlet prices for expensive brands like Burberry, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger etc. Which well, i didn't buy any of them..

They also have many afforable outlets such as nike, puma, esprit, adidas, swatch etc. Here's a photo of some of the outlets available. Click on the photo if u want to read the list of outlets.

Anyway, they also have brands like Reebok, Triumph etc which are not listed anywhere, i wonder why.

We reached Metzingen at 11am. N shopped till around 5pm..muahahaha..
N the result was..tada...

We went in most of the shops there. Except some shops which we weren't interested in. When we entered Esprit, there was total zero trolley. Kenneth said i might probably need one also. But it turned out the other way round. I DID NOT BUY ANYTHNG FROM ESPRIT for myself.

Why?

Simple. Everything was huge. Those very few XS shirts that i could find, i don't like. Those i liked, i couldn't fit. I then resorted to pants and skirts. The smallest i could find was size 34, which i naively thought was the measurement of the butt. N so i thought i probably can fit. It turned out 34 was the waist size.-_-"

I got some other things for other people though.

Well, a summary of what i bought..
The pictures below are strictly not in preference order.=P
It is the order of buying them.

My adidas ClimaCool.

Cute bagpack..hehe..

Kenneth wanted to buy sandals cuz his sandals rosak already. We picked this sandals, which we then saw the offer of 2nd pair 50% off. We saw an exact girl version of his sandals. So we got a pair of it.. Our first couple sandals..*happie*

N finally, after much deep intense consideration, i got this watch. I liked it a lot, but it was a bit loose, n the length couldn't b adjusted.

Pic of all the things i bought. The two same t-shirts were bought from Esprit. One for my bro n one for ken.=)

P/s:
All things for myself were bought by ken. All are my pressies!!whee!! Thank you! muacks muacks..
Also, i bought two other things from Esprit for my frens too. (don't want to mention who..hehe..)

Bon Jovi Concert!

You see this photo below? Written 'front of stage'. We were probably the front 5% of all people present. Woohoo!!

We reached the stadium at about 4.30pm. N the concert was supposed to start at 5.30pm. Unfortunately, it only started at 6.30pm. N thanks to an italian band which sang TWELVE songs, we were all dead bored. No one knew how to sing their songs except a small group carrying italy flag.

The concert only officially started at about 8pm. It was held in Gottlieb-Daimler stadium, with a capacity of around 58,000 people. The stadium seats were FULL. N the entire ground was FULL as well. So i'm guessing there were more than 100,000 people?

See those tiny dots at the side. Those are humans..hehe..

Some of the clear shots with my camera, without using flash.

Anyway, once Bon Jovi came out, the bore was all gone. The 2 and half hours with them passed with a blink of an eye. It didn't feel long at all, unlike the first twelve songs which felt like forever.

We had a super great time! Except the waiting at the beginning, n the pushing into the train after the concert. Which mostly reminded me of ktm n lrt buatan malaysia. N on a side note, germans are like malaysians too..according to this photo:

*winks*

Paris (Day 3)

The last day of our trip in paris..sobs! So reluctant to leave this place! I felt so much like a tourist and liked that feeling..hehe.. Unlike in germany, kenneth knows the language and all, i feel so homely, which probably is a good thing i guess.

We headed off to Moulin Rouge as our first stop. Saw a lot of 'interesting' photos of scantily clad girls..hehe.. Anyway it was too costly to enter. Show plus dinner is around 150-200 euros/pax!

We went to Arc de Triomphe for a while and spent most of our remaining day in
Champs-Élysées. Things there are expensive. N i mean it! Well, at least i meant it for LV. It was huuuuge, comprising a few floors, selling bags, diamond rings, men and ladies outfits, accesories, shoes, etc etc u name it. One ladies' handbag can cost about 5000 euros! That's like RM25000!*pengsan* And a heels that i saw, was 1800 euros.

Anyway we received a very warm welcome. Which i attribute that to me and kenneth being chinese, and tonnes of people paying at the cashier counter, are also chinese.-_-"

Arc de Triomphe, which we didn't enter..ehe..

Peugeot showroom.

Louis Vuitton in Paris!

We came back to germany by night bus. Our total cost there was about 700 euros. So anyone interested to go there, can start saving now!*winks*
